Character Name: Ankh
Character Canon: Kamen Rider OOO
Canon Background: Here's Ankh's page at the Kamen Rider wiki.
Omegafriends Background: Ankh's AU history remains the same as his canon history, up to the point that the main series ends and Eiji goes wandering the world with Ankh's cracked Core Medal in his pocket. Since Eiji has made it to Venture City, and Venture City is full of all kinds of mad science and plot devices, he'll get revived there and need to work to rebuild himself and his memories.
There was talk of pickpocketing robots going around, and after consultation with Eiji's player, it was decided that one of these could have snatched up the Core Medal pieces. Through shady criminal connections and a general interest in having strange things brought to him, Joji Yuki gets hold of it and does a little experimentation. The result is a revived and mostly amnesiac Ankh that is locked into being a floating disembodied hand until he can build up some power in-game.
Due to Joji's revival process being sketchy, and to ressurecting things being a crapshoot anyhow, Ankh will have very little memory of canon events. He will know what he is and have an understanding of his capacities and powers, and dimly recall the events of 800 years ago, but most of what took place during Kamen Rider OOO will elude him. He'll remember following closely behind a garishly-dressed young man, he'll remember desperately wanting to be whole (and possibly human), and he'll remember that he likes ice pops and once had human senses, but the rest will need to come back to him via exposure to other characters and absorbing more Cell Medals or Core Medals.
Personality: Ankh is an enormous jerk. He is self-centered, prone to violence, a chronic double-crosser, and the sort of creature that will do anything to get his own way. He'll work with others if it suits his purposes, and then abandon them just as quickly once they're no longer useful to him. While in-canon he did find several people that he came to consider "useful" and that he very much wanted around, in this AU, he'll have forgotten them. As a result, he will have pretty much entirely reverted to being terrible and villainous. This is somewhat tempered by him being extremely weak (and even generally less powerful than the other Greeed unless great pains have been taken to fully power him up). Others can exert a measure of control over him via application of violence or threats of force.
Being a creature born of raw desire, Ankh will pursue the things that he wants with single-minded tenacity. Be it something as small as a popsicle or as large and impossible as a human body, he'll stop at nothing to reach his goals. He's aware of his limitations, but is clever and cunning and has ways to work around them. He's always on the lookout for new tools or new sources of power, and has a particular interest in modern human technology. He was quick to learn to use a smartphone and access the Internet, because it gave him an edge on the other Greeed. But just as he'll latch onto anything that might give him an edge over others, he's quick to disregard anything he percieves as stupid or useless. Even in canon he never bothered to learn to use a fork correctly or properly use chopsticks. He doesn't like to waste time, and always wants to be advancing towards something better.
Ankh is proud and haughty, and loathes to admit to weakness or ignorance. He would never say "I don't know", but will instead avoid answering the question that he doesn't have an answer to as though it's simply beneath him. There are quite a few things that Ankh doesn't understand, but he'd never actually admit that. He can come across as very clever, and he often does have brilliant plans... but spend enough time around him and you'll realize that he preens and postures to make himself seem far better than he actually is.
Canon Ankh had come to appreciate having human senses and to loathe the limitations of being a Greeed. He had also come to genuinely befriend Eiji Hino and Hina Izumi. The capacity to be a good being (or at a least slightly less awful one) is within him, but in his barely-held-together current state, he's back to square one. Enough exposure to his old friends and enough time might remind him of what he's lost, and how much he wanted it... but for now, Ankh has no time or capacity for friendship.
Powers: Ankh is a Greeed, a sort of homunculus formed out of "Cell Medals", pulled together around "Core Medals" that take their power from various animals. Ankh is the Bird Greeed, with medals based on the Hawk, Peafowl, and Condor. (Although he is only currently in possession of a single Hawk medal.) At his weakest, he manifests himself as a severed hand and forearm that can float and project human speech, as well as store small objects within itself. In his form he can can possess other creatures by slipping his right hand over theirs like a glove. He gains access to their knowledge and memories, although it can take some time to sift through and find relevant information. Those that he possesses, in turn, can peer into his. This possession works best when latching on to someone injured or comatose (like Shingo Izumi, in canon), and someone conscious or more willful can very likely shake him off. Those possessed by him will take on a small measure of superhuman strength, agility, and accuracy, and their physical appearance will alter slightly to vaguely reflect Ankh's bird-like true form. (Swooshy blonde hair and eyeliner were how it manifested in canon on Shingo Izumi.)
With more Core Medals and Cell Medals provided to him, he can form a human-like body. In this form he can most make his right hand become a red-armored gauntlet form that can shoot bursts of fire, and he can briefly manifest rainbow-colored wings that allow him to fly. He can jump long distances, has higher than regular human strength, and incredible accuracy with thrown objects. While he has a set appearance that he favors, he can mimic other forms if he chooses. (He once changed himself to have Eiji's appearance as part of a trick to deceive an opponent, for example.)
Fully powered up, Ankh's entire form takes on the same red armored appearance as his arm. He's much stronger, much faster, able to fly for extended periods, able to unleash far larger bursts of fire, and is much more durable.
As a Greeed, Ankh has a general ability to sense strong desires in people. He can then make these human desires manifest as monsters called "Yummies", by taking one of his Cell Medals and sinking it into their head. The process is uncomfortable but not particularly painful. Ankh's Yummies will "mother" the host that spawned them, snatching them away to somewhere safe and bringing them whatever they need to meet their desires. (As an example, a Bird Yummy spawned from an injured boxer about to retire stole the vitality of other boxers to give to him, and brought his rival to him to fight.) As the human's desire is fulfilled, Cell Medals are formed within the Yummy. Destroying the Yummy will result in a shower of Cell Medals that can then be taken and absorbed for their power. Ankh can also snap Cell Medals in half to produce Waste Yummies, which are just simple grey mooks. (Because all baddies need mooks, yes.) Related to his ability to sense desire, Ankh can also sense when Yummies are on the loose and active.
When Ankh is injured, he bleeds Cell Medals. If he loses enough of them, he'll revert to only manifesting as a hand. If he loses all of his Cell Medals, his Core Medals will scatter and be unable to do much more than roll or clatter about, and possibly possess another living creature to temporarily get around. Cell Medals do not naturally regenerate. He'll need to absorb more of them to re-form or heal himself, or have some other outside force mend him somehow. In addition, Ankh's consciousness exists in a single one of his Core Medals (the Hawk medal). So long as this remains intact, Ankh can be revived if a sufficiently large pile of Cell Medals is brought to him. It takes an absolutely incredible amount of power to destroy a Core Medal. In-canon, the power of the Purple Greeed, either through Eiji or Doctor Maki, was enough to do it.
Sample: Here are a set of threads in a musebox, playing out a dinner scene with the other OOO and Piece characters that are either in game or being prepared for game!
Notes: I've worked out character connections with Eiji and Joji's players, just to let you guys know!
